Jonathan is an actor and physical comedian with experience in theatre, screen, voice and corporate work. His shows have toured to theatres and festivals in the UK, France, Italy, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic and Australia.
After leaving from the Jacques Lecoq physical theatre school in 2017, he formed physical comedy trio The Latebloomers (thelatebloomers.co.uk) with fellow Lecoq classmates Ollie Nilsson and Sam Dugmore. Their first show 'Scotland!' began touring in 2018 to rave reviews, and won the Inspiration Award for new work at the Prague Fringe 2018, as well as being nominated for the Creative Award for best show and Audience Choice Award. The Latebloomers went on to win the Spirit of the Fringe Award at the Paris Fringe 2018. 'Scotand!' toured Australia in 2019, selling out at Fringe World Perth, Melbourne's Butterfly Club, and the Adelaide Fringe, where it won the Weekly Award for best comedy, before heading to the Edinburgh Fringe 2019.

In 2018 Jonathan wrote and devised 'Attenborough and his Animals' with Lecoq-trained performer Jess Clough-MacRae, creating their company Clownfish Theatre (clownfishtheatre.com) The show, created with support from the Bristol Old Vic Ferment programme and the Taulignan Theatre Festival in France, was performed at Adelaide Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe 2019 (under the title Sir David and his Animals), at the Gothenburg Mime Festival in Sweden and the Bergen Fringe in Norway, where it won the 'Grand Prix' for best show. Attenborough and his Animals toured to Australia in 2020, selling out in Perth and Adelaide. 2020 also saw the premiere in Australia of a new show by the The Latebloomers, 'The Bakers', which won the Fringe World Weekly Award for Comedy.

In 2021, Jonathan became one of a small number of international independent artists to be granted a special talent exemption from Australia's covid travel ban and returned for a sell-out tour of The Bakers and Attenborough and his Animals.

In 2022 Jonathan collaborated with Ollie Nilsson to create children's show Strictly Barking, which toured in the UK, Finland, Czech Republic, Portugal, and to Australia in 2023, where it was the Overall Winner of the Fringe World Children's Event Award and won the Perth Now Critics Choice Award. The pair also formed comedy double-act Jon and Ollie, debut-ing at Brighton Fringe 2022. Their first show 'Jon and Ollie - Put The Kettle On' won the Perth Now Critics Choice Award at Fringe World Perth 2023 and an Adelaide Fringe 2023 Weekly Award for Comedy.

'Attenborough and his Animals' went on a UK tour produced by Seabright Productions in 2023, to venues including the Plymouth Theatre Royal, The Eden Project and The Greenbelt Festival. The Latebloomers began a partnership with French production company Theatre Atypik and had a sell-out run at the 2023 Avignon Off Festival. Strictly Barking was the only children's show to be nominated for a OffFest Award for its run at Edinburgh Fringe 2023. Jonathan also created a solo performance with long-time collaborator Olllie Nilsson called 'Sailing By', which won the Comedy Award at Prague Fringe 2023 and then went to the Catania Off Festival in Sicily.

2024 began with a performance of 'Scotland!' in Bar-sur-Seine, France, and Sailing By at Leicester Comedy Festival. Strictly Barking was nominated for The Best Kids Show Award at the UK Kids Comedy Festival.
