Attenborough and his Animals

Jonathan created Attenborough and his Animals with fellow Jacque Lecoq International Theatre School graduate Jessica Clough-MacRae, creating their company Clownfish Theatre (clownfishtheatre.com).

Clownfish Theatre is a clown and physical theatre show inspired by David Attenborough's natural history documentaries.

The show was created with the support of Bristol Old Vic and Circomedia in the UK, and Compagnie Le Homard Bleu in France. It was presented at the Bristol Old Vic Ferment Festival in June 2018. A French-language version, Sir David et Les Animaux, was performed at the Festival Théâtre à Taulignan 2018.

The show has been represented by theatre producer James Seabright since 2020 and has toured Europe, the UK and Australia. It has been nominated for an OffFest Award for its run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at the National Museum of Scotland in 2023.
